The Challenge
During our initial inspection of the facility’s weekly and daily tanks, our team observed fuel in a critical state. The fuel was visually classified as extremely dirty, to the point where a standard particle counter test could not be performed initially due to the high level of particulate contamination.

- Contamination Level: Visually opaque and heavily contaminated with particulates.
Our Solution
To restore the fuel to safe operating standards, we deployed our high-efficiency fuel polishing system alongside the Particle Pal – Portable Laser Particulate Measurement Device. Our process involved:
- In-Situ Purification: Cleaning the fuel directly within the tanks to minimize downtime.
- Precision Monitoring: Real-time tracking of fuel quality using laser particulate measurement.
The Results: Surpassing the Target
Our goal was to bring the fuel within the target ASTM Appearance Level of ≤3.0. We are proud to report that we surpassed this requirement, achieving an ASTM level of 2.0.
